The German Design Awards are the largest prizes of the German Design Council and among the most recognised international design awards. For eleven years now, the German Design Council has been honouring pioneering designers and their work with this coveted prize. Whoever wins here is one of the best. An award – whether »Special Mention«, »Winner« or even »Gold« – makes the work globally visible and opens up a valuable network with international reach to the companies and designers.
The popular, sustainably designed and multi-award winning child’s seat Diono Monterey® 5 iST FixSafe™ i-Size has won both the gold award in the Eco Design Category and the Special Mention 2023 for product design.
»With its holistic design concept, the Monterey® 5 iST FixSafe™ i-Size children’s car seat eminently meets the requirements in terms of safety and comfort as well as sustainability. Thanks to efficient material savings, it is around 2 kg lighter than comparable products on the market and uses 1 kg less packaging material. It can also be separated and recycled by material. The Monterey can be folded to a compact size, which, combined with its light weight, makes it conveniently portable. It’s a modern, well thought-out product that comprehensively addresses the needs of its users«, said the jury’s reasoning.
The multi-award winning Haven baby carrier is the German Design Award Winner 2023.
