PIONEERING TABLE RANGE FOR WILKHAHN

Every two years the office furniture world converges in Cologne for Orgatec, the leading international trade show for modern working environments. As also occurred in 2016 a whiteID development for the office furniture manufacturer Wilkhahn will again be presented at the trade show, this year in the form of the new Inline table range.

As with the Metrik cantilever chair, also developed by whiteID Integrated Design, the Inline table range is representative of the pioneering design language of the Wilkhahn working environments. Inline – designed under the working title “Monolithic Table” – with its extremely integrated design, is reminiscent of a filigree altar of communication. The conference table has been created with two design aspects. Viewed from a little distance – for example when entering a room – the observer sees a highly aesthetic, sculptural, unusual and impressive object. As you approach and take your seat the table moves literally into the background. The frame converging towards the centre of the table and the tapered table edge automatically invite you to approach the table and use it as a discreet platform for the communication now taking place.

Inline has been designed as a range with table widths from 160 to 220 cm and table depths from 80 to 120 cm. Industrial series production is scheduled for the second quarter 2019.
